Gardening For Kids is proud to stock Seedballs!
Seedballs are protective clay balls filled with hundreds of wildflower seeds and a pinch of chilli powder to deter slugs and snails. The idea of enclosing seeds in clay balls is ancient, but these Seedballs are bang up to date, environmentally friendly, and a brilliant way to introduce young children to growing seeds. The balls are big enough for small fingers to hold (unlike some seeds) and easy to see once scattered on the ground or in a pot. Once established, the meadow wildflowers will attract beneficial insects such as bees and butterflies. Check out our new range of Seedballs, supporting the Natural History Museum: Bat Mix, Bird Mix, Beetle Mix.
Developed and manufactured in the UK, with wildflower species native to the UK and North Western Europe.

*Please be aware that Seedballs work best when sown in the spring or autumn. They make excellent gifts throughout the year, but may be unsuccessful if planted too late in the season (mid-June onwards)*
