Delivery and Returns

Delivery charges will be calculated at checkout. The price is based on the size and weight of the parcel.  Small parcels up to 1kg are £2.99.  Medium parcels 1-1.99 kg are £3.99.  Large parcels 2-10kg are £6.49. Typical delivery time for most products is 3-5 working days. 

We believe very strongly in reducing our impact on the environment, so will re-use delivery boxes when appropriate.  The box may have branding from other companies on it, but it will have been carefully packed and will have our 'Gardening for Kids' sticker on it.

For most products we use Hermes, but occasionally Royal Mail. Delivery to remote UK areas including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, and Isles of Scilly will cost more, depending on the weight of the parcel.  Please ask for a quote for these remote areas. Delivery to these areas is likely to take 7-10 working days. Unfortunately, we cannot offer delivery to the Channel Islands at this time. 

At the moment we are unable offer express delivery, but as patient gardeners you know that all good things come to those who wait!

A small number of our suppliers ship items directly to you. As a result, your items may be packaged in a variety of different styles. If ordering more than one product, it is possible that you will receive your items in more than one delivery.


If within 14 days of delivery you change your mind, or you are unhappy with an item that you have bought from us then you may return it for a refund of the price you paid. To be eligible for a refund the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, in the original packaging.  Send us an email to and we'll get back to you with the details. We ask that you cover the return postage, and let us know why the item is being returned. This may help us better understand your needs in future.

If the item is faulty then let us know. We will cover return postage in this case.

Perishable goods cannot be returned, nor items that have signs of wear or damage. We do not accept responsibility for any seeds or seed kits purchased from us that do not germinate, and we cannot offer refunds based on this. However, please let us know if you are unhappy and we'll see what we can do!

Once your return is received we will send you an email to let you know.
If all is OK, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
